2 Days Whitewater Rafting
A white water rafting trip in Jinja is an interesting trip to enjoy white water rafting on the world's longest river, the Nile. A trip to the headwaters of the Jinja Nile requires a drive from Kampala through Mabira Forest, roadside markets and tea and sugar plantations. You can have lunch before boarding the boat to the exact point in the spring.
At the headwaters of the Nile, there are many boats strategically placed to carry customers to their destinations. This boat tour lasts about an hour and gives you the opportunity to see the source of the Nile River. Due to heavy traffic on the road connecting Kampala and Jinja, it is recommended to leave early in the morning to allow enough time to return to Kampala on time. If you have time, you can take a tour of Jinja and its surroundings to learn more about what Jinja has to offer when it comes to tours and excursions.
YOUR 2 DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1: Travel to Jinja
You will be driven to Jinja by our professional guide. The guide will take you through Mabira tropical forest which is a natural forest with a variety of primates and birds. You will proceed to Jinja with a stopover at Owen Fall Dam where the hydroelectric power for Uganda is generated then after to Nile Ripon falls. Whitewater Rafting in Jinja continue to Bujagali falls where you will spend some time there watching the beautiful sceneries and the drivers as they swim through those rapids. Have lunch then in the afternoon you will go for rafting which is one of the most exciting activities done on the source of the Nile. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Jinja.
DAY 2: Boat Ride on the Nile
Early morning after breakfast, you go for a boat ride on the Nile and visit the source of the Nile which is an interesting experience for you. Return at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will start your journey back to Kampala.
